
The Cannes Film Festival founded in 1946, is one of the world's oldest and most prestigious film festival. The private festival is held annually at the Palais des Festivals et des Congres, in the resort town of Cannes, south of France.
The Cannes Film Festival is organised in various sections. One of the them, The Official Selection is the main event of the festival. There will be twenty films competing for the Palme d'Or and will be projected in the Théâtre Lumière.
